Choosing a Beautiful Dress Guidelines!

To look and feel your ultimate best you need to choose wisely. Everyone has figure flaws but it doesn’t mean you have to be disappointed. You can always hide them and give attention more on the part of the body you are confident about. While shopping for a beautiful dress keep in mind your body type. With the tips given below you can highlight and emphasize more on the positive and downplay the areas of the body not so perfect.

1. For pear shaped women, they must avoid wearing short-length dresses. The dress should not be shorter than an inch or two above the knee. To grab the attention away from your lower half, go for a dress with a plunging V-neck, halter top or embellished neckline. Select an outfit with an A-line skirt but not something too full.

2. If you are Apple shaped with thick waist you need to elongate the appearance of the torso to divert the attention from your waist. Choose a dress with empire-waist to re-define your waist line. Opt for a sash belt slung low on your waist and strictly avoid belts around your midsection.

3. If you have fleshy arms then sleeveless and cap sleeve dresses aren’t for you. Go for dresses that have 3/4th or full-length sleeves.

4. If you have a small bust then avoid wearing deep neck dresses, they will make them appear even smaller. Go for dresses with a scoop neck and sequins and other adornments to add dimensions to the upper half of your body. Whereas if you are top heavy then you must choose dresses with deep V necklines or halter tops. Select fabric that skims your body rather than binding it, it can make your busts look too big.

5. If you fall in the category of ‘Plus-size’ women, then please do not opt for baggy clothes, they make you appear even bigger. Select fabrics that drape nicely to your body, not clinging much nor hanging too loose. However if you are amongst the skinny body type women then add layers to your dress such as a fitted jacket to give you some bulk. If you have extremely thin legs then avoid mini-skirts and choose long, flowing dresses instead. Thin women can also add a thick belt to give more definition to their waist. Thin women can also go for bubble dresses; it gives the appearance of a larger lower body.

6. The shift dresses are flattering to almost everyone. It hangs straight down from the shoulder. It doesn’t cling to the body and skims nicely.
